The under 14's was a well supported age group at under 13
level not only by the children but by the support of the parents who got behind
the team especially during match days. We are looking forward to receiving the
same support as under 14's. The team is made up of a varying standard of
players that never cease to amaze myself and the rest of the coaching team with
their zest for the game.
Hopefully the children will still be like
sponges that are willing to learn and try out new ideas, developing their
skills and use them to great effect on the pitch during the Sunday matches. As
under 13's the team camaraderie was one of their greatest assets allowing them
to work for each other during training and on the field.
The coaching
staff for the under 14's is committed to the continued development of the
players ensuring that not only do they learn but more importantly that they
have fun while they do it. The team is quite small in stature but big in heart
and very often in the previous season came up against opposition that look down
on them, but every time the team left the pitch they left with their heads held
high after awesome performances which did not always reflect the score-line.
As with the other age groups the intent is to provide matches reports
on future games on this site, so that their development can be followed by
those who are interested. The team and the coaching staff look forward to
meeting any new players who wish to join in and be part of a sport which we all
enjoy.
