All coaches of the BRFC Junior Section are to abide by this code at all times.

All Coaches must respect the rights, dignity and worth of every child and young person with whom they interact and treat them equally.

All Coaches must place the physical and emotional wellbeing of all young persons above all other considerations, including the development of performance.

The relationship that coaches develop with all young persons within the BRFC Junior Section must be based on mutual respect and trust.

All coaches must ensure that all activities undertaken are appropriate to the age, maturity, experience and ability of the players who they are coaching.

All coaches are to encourage young players to accept responsibility for their own behaviour and performance.

All coaches should clarify with the young players (and their parents/guardians) what is expected of them both on and off the rugby field and what they are entitled to expect from the coach.

All coaches will work in partnership with others within and outside the game (other coaches, match officials, members of the county RFU Organisation and the young person's doctor) to ensure the wellbeing, safety and enjoyment of all young players.

All coaches are to promote the positive aspects of the sport e.g. Fair Play. Violations of the Laws of the Game and Behaviour which is in contradiction of the spirit of the Laws or any other relevant regulations or the use of any technique or substance which is prohibited must never be condoned.
